Perfect for our tall thin nine year old son!
So I can't speak for longevity yet because we just got these, but I have been looking everywhere for my tall thin nine year old son. He's at that awkward size between boys and men's. The 27x30 is a perfect fit for him to grow into. He will out grow the inseam well before the waist size, as usual, but with any luck we can get 6 months out of these. Not because they won't last longer than that, but that's just how fast our kid grows! I'm also excited to find him a pair of actual pants that he will wear because he is full blown into only wanting to wear sweatpants right now. So he said these were really comfy and he will wear them.

Great fit!
I got these for my 12 year old son who is tall and slim (5ft 6in) & they fit great. They are a little big around the waist but I expected that since he is only 12 and tiny but they are fine with a belt. It’s been tough finding school pants that are long enough, fit his skinny legs, & are comfortable but these are it! Highly recommend!

Good fit, great value - sizing might not be consistent
Update: dropped overall rating to 4. Ordered two more pairs. The dark blue fit great, but the grey was clearly wider around the pant leg, but it was also slightly shorter which worked in my favor.For the price, this a good pair of chinos. I would compare the materials used to something you'd find at Old Navy. Can be worn casually, but nice enough for an office environment.I am about 5' 5'' and 160ish lbs. I went with the 31x28 and the fit is good. Length goes past my ankles, but close enough that hemming isn't necessary. If you're my height and you want that tailored look, then hemming 1" - 1 1/2" will be needed. Fit around my calves is snug, but there's a little bit of strech in the fabric that makes the fit feel comfortable. Fit around the thighs and waist is just right for me.
